Velvet Revolution is a collaborative film made by five women directors from different countries, profiling the lives of women journalists who have paid a high price for speaking truth to power. In a world riven with conflict and dictatorial regimes where journalists are constantly under threat of both, state and non - state actors, what drives these women journalists to do their job?

Velvet Revolution is produced by the International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) and directed by Nupur Basu along with five other women directors - Ilang Ilang Quijano, Deepika Sharma, Eva Brownstein, Pochi Tamba Nsoh and Sidonie Pongmoni.
